WELCOMING MS. FALL

This school year, Bedford High School welcomes a new member to the counseling staff: Ms. Fall. She will be covering students with last names A through Cl, replacing the loss of Mrs. Torbick over the summer.
Before coming to Bedford, Ms. Fall worked as a guidance counselor at Sanborn Regional High school for eight years. Although she enjoyed her time there, it seemed like the right time to broaden her horizons and have a new experience. “It was the only school I knew,” she says. “I wanted something new, something different—something that would challenge me in a different way than that school had challenged me.” For her, working at BHS would fulfill that challenge, one she is thrilled to have accepted.
When asked about what she loves most about her job, Ms. Fall had an immediate answer: “Students. The kids. I love meeting and working with them, and seeing how you all grow from freshmen to seniors. I love brainstorming about what classes will help you in your future, and choosing careers, and supporting you through this high school process.” She is very excited to get to know the students at Bedford and to be apart of the positive Bulldog community.
In her free time, Ms. Fall enjoys going to the beach, spending time with her daughter, and being outside. She will be doing more of this after she settles in at BHS.
Because she did not have a great high school experience herself, Ms. Fall is determined to make the experience enjoyable and memorable for students now, helping them to make the most out of their high school years. To help with this, Ms. Fall has some good advice for students: “Do things earlier than you think you should,” she says. “Step outside of your comfort zone and take that leap of faith in yourself and in the people around you, and just go for it. Whatever you want to do, just go for it. Live your dream, because it will come true.”
