What was bhs listening to this summer?

There were a lot of concerts over the summer in New England that you probably missed out on. It’s probably the last time a lot of popular artists are going to be playing here considering they already got their fifteen minutes of fame. There was coldplay with their newest album A Head Full of Dreams, and Beyonce toured with her new album Lemonade. The Lumineers had a top hit with their album Cleopatra. Justin Bieber, Fifth Harmony, and Kanye West all produced popular songs as well. A few BHS students were informed ahead of time to actually get tickets, and not just look on social media the day after.
Jamie Siegart went to Twenty One Pilots at the beginning of the summer in Boston. This was huge since it is such a popular band. Her favorite song that was played was “House of Gold” because Tyler Joseph plays the ukulele. She claims she touched Joseph’s hand when he ran by which was very exciting for her. But, she had a great time and when Twenty One Pilots are back in town, she encourages everyone to buy tickets.
An anonymous student of BHS was at the Skillet concert in August at Gilford. Apparently, there was a festival called the Skullfest where they played four of their new songs from their album Unleashed. This student exclaimed how the concert was amazing and loud. She recounted that they were so loud one time, a car alarm went off. While she had an awesome time, she did say she wished the band played more acoustic songs. Her favorite song they played was “Does It Matter”. This was such a special moment because it was the first time that the song was played live. It was a request from an audience member who was diagnosed with cancer. So according to this student, the Skillet concert was successful.
Another student saw Adele in concert. However, instead of traveling an hour to listen to her music, she flew 3,000 miles to Los Angeles to hear the popstar. This student loved when Adele talked to the crowd, and when she sang “Send My Love.” The rest of us weren’t so lucky to be able to travel across the country to see Adele, but this student clearly enjoyed it.
So now you know about all the great concerts and can feel like you were actually paying attention to them over the summer of 2016.
